According to your preference, this position will be based within one of our European offices (Belgium, France, Germany or Netherlands) or in the United Kingdom.

The mission of the Head of Digital Marketing Strategy (HDMS) will be to put EVS in the driving seat of digital marketing transformation turning EVS marketing from traditional event oriented towards digital customer-centric and digital organization to support the company's long-term business strategy over a period of 2 years.

Your mission will be articulated around the following objectives:

  • Assess and refine the global brand and demand generation strategy to support the company's short-term and long-term business strategy
  • Recalibrate EVS approach in terms of market segmentation and strategic content based on a more customer-centric thinking
  • Drive the company towards a leading digital marketing strategy relying on solid operational organization, content-driven digital strategy, customer engagement program, and data-driven and end-to-end insights into the ROMI
  • Is responsible for the life cycle management of all existing and future digital channels, digital marketing applications, and marketing tools (marketing automation platform, analytics, mobile apps, micro-sites, …)

In terms of structure and Management support, the HDMS is part of the Markets and Solutions team and directly reports to the CMO. S/He integrates the global company Skippers team (CEO N-2) as well as the M&S Steerco. S/He is working in collaboration with multiple teams and departments as part of his/her change management role. S/He is deeply accompanying the Head of Marketing & Communications in his/her transformation program and is supported by internal and external change and BPM experts. Job Description

Acting as a true change driver over a period of 2 years, the HDMS role will integrate the following dimensions:

  • Understand the key enablers that allow for a transformation towards an agile customer-centric & digital organization and formulate a global change plan (organization, skills, processes, and deliverables)
  • Build a global change plan framework including governance program and budget
  • Formulate a digital transformation roadmap including training and change part of the roadmap
  • Define a series of factual KPI and metrics
  • Provide regular reporting to CMO and the company leadership team
  • Act as a change agent by leading business and marketing programs, by coaching and supporting people internally, by steering external agencies and suppliers, hence driving the organization through the required change in mindset, methods, skills and modern martech adoption


  • Master’s degree in Marketing or a related field
  • Strong proven working experience in digital and strategic marketing
  • Experience in change / coaching / transformative project leadership
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaign

Technical skills :

  • Strategic understanding on how marketing mix modelling can work to optimize the ROAS
  • Strategic understanding on how digital media is applied in the marketing mix, and what levels of advertising maturity can be achieved from basic tot advanced
  • Solid knowledge of how website analytics tools can be used in an end-to-end ROMI attribution model (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
  • You are fascinated by the digital world in all its aspects and are able to inspire others
  • You have a good understanding of Marketing and marketing program logic and objectives
