Scope

The Head of Methodology & Process leads and sustains operational excellence at all levels (individual, team, and company) as well as the activities that govern how work is performed. He takes an active role in the implementation of the way of working and ensures that the teams fulfill their commitments. The Head of Scrum Master is responsible for the Scrum Masters and Release Train Engineers in R&D. He provides guidance to facilitate the challenge of Agile, Scrum & SAFe adoption. He helps leaderships members and team members remove the barriers.

Job Description

As the manager of a team of Scrum Masters/Release Train Engineers:
  • Coach and mentor team members on business and soft skills
  • Assign team members to teams to ensure the right people stand at the right place
  • Help team members in reaching a high level of autonomy
  • Ensure the team members are aware and adhere to Company processes and practices
  • Is accountable for developing and training team member
  • Is accountable for recruitment
  • Ensure no one person in the team is solely accountable for any critical task or activity
  • With the contribution of external stakeholders, define yearly objectives, assess team members’ achievements
As a VALUE DRIVEN leader: 
  • Organizes and reorganizes around business value and customer satisfaction ;
  • Intervenes appropriately during projects to ensure the development lifecycle is realized in accordance with the company’s short/long term priorities ;
  • Continually focuses on eliminating waste, delays, and demotivating policies and procedures ;
  • Creates a culture of relentless improvement that provides the space required for teams to innovate
  • Focus on developing the R&D’s capacity to use Agile as a strategic business asset, including culture change, leadership development, and work at all department levels
  • Acts as a change agent and continuously drive Agile maturity levels by challenging assumptions and current ways of thinking and proposing actionable steps to make incremental, sustainable change
As a SERVANT LEADER:
  • Is accountable for providing guidance and coaching to individuals, teams , and managers; ensuring the development of the people’s competencies ;
  • Helps individuals and teams to consistently deliver work in technical excellence respecting the standards the company expects and in accordance with the company priorities ;
  • Displays the behaviors that come with the key mindset shifts associated with Agile
  • Is a People Manager preserving well-being, managing skills, and improving performance
  • Act as an Agile champion and contribute to expanding the understanding and practice of agile principles and values throughout the entire organization
  • Is ultimately accountable for the adoption, success, and ongoing improvement within the scope (Agile, Scrum, SAFe) under his responsibility

Profile

  • Master degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in scrum & SAFe methodology
  • Experience as Scrum Master and/or Release Train Engineer experience is a plus
  • Experience as Agile Coaching experience is a plus
  • Any management experience is a plus
  • English and French speaker (written and spoken)
