Scope

The QC Engineer has multiple responsibilities, which include:

  • Assuring the quality control of products developed within one product line by analyzing, developing, and executing different suites of test plans and test cases; 
  • Ensuring the quality control of customer workflows spanning multiple EVS / third-party products;
  • Taking ownership of the full testing cycle and report on progress, outcomes and guarantee the follow-up of defects handling.

Job Description

  • In line with guidelines from test leader, analyze product requirements and specifications;
  • Build, propose and defend test related estimates, in terms of lead time, man days and material resources;
  • Create adequate test plans, based on risk assessment and time constraints;
  • Based on own analysis, identify opportunities for automation;
  • In line with given instructions, build, adapt and/or execute test cases/scenario’s for development validation;
  • Report product defects, product usability, test results and quality risks in a clear and structured way;
  • Assure the follow up of the product defects workflow: identify, ensure the appropriate handling of defects and validate their resolution;
  • Proactively schedules the daily work, the assigned tasks and the communication to the team leader;
  • Ensure ongoing communication with and feedback to development team during testing phase;
  • Execute specific integration tests with third parties;
  • Identify and propose process improvements;
  • Write and keep up-to-date technical documentation in the appropriate data systems;
  • Provide guidance and functional/technical support to other teams (support, development, product, ...);
  • Plan, track and report work and assigned tasks, to direct manager;
  • Update, maintain and/or modify existing test cases as necessary.

Profile

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in ICT, Computer Science, Multimedia, or equivalent degree/experience;
  • IT-oriented (basic knowledge about Linux, IP, network, …)
  • Understanding of workflow schemas (hardware and software components, data flows,..) and translate them into use textual case workflows
  • Experience in non-functional testing (load/stress/stability/deployment)
  • Technical knowledge in some of these areas is a plus: Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Shell,
  • Able to execute tasks autonomously and get help whenever needed;
  • Open for changes and continuous learning;
  • Focus on quality, detail-minded, willing to take care of customer point of view;
  • Result-oriented and team player;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills;

The following knowledge/experience are not mandatory and will be considered as an asset:

  • Knowledge of a programming language (Java, Javascript, Python);
  • Experience in quality assurance or application testing;
  • Knowledge of software testing and automation tools.

Languages : 

  • Fluent in French;
  • Working knowledge of English.
