As a member of the R&D Solution QC team, you will assure the quality control of the EVS key Solutions (MediaInfra, …) by validating E2E Solution workflows involving several EVS Products and/or 3rd party Products. You are focused on the testability, robustness, and performance of the Solution delivered. You are responsible for planning and executing functional and non-functional tests, you will also document test results. The tests will be automated as much as possible.
Job Description
In the Solution QC team, the QC Engineer will be responsible for E2E workflows validation and will take on the following tasks :
Participate in the definition of the workflows to be validated by the Solution QC Team. This shall cover functional (features tests) and non-functional cases (deployment, stability/load/stress, scalability, security)
Understand with the Solution QC Team Leader the test strategy/test plan for the identified workflows: required resources, hardware, …
Design use cases according to the Solution specifications, using test strategies and technics
Execute the test cases (manual and/or automated)
Perform a first-level analysis of potential issues / defects
Report defects to the System / Dev teams across multiple Programs and/or 3rd party
Review the bug priorities with relevant stakeholders
Collaborate to tests execution reports with other Team Members and the Solution QC Team Lead
Document limitations, risks, variance, and workarounds
Maintain test cases and test suites
Build and maintain test environment/infrastructure
As automation engineer: Setup, maintain and operate test automation frameworks
Be part of a multidisciplinary team
Profile
Technical Skills :
Knowledge of one or several EVS Products (mainly in Neuron, Cerebrum) and networking / switches is an asset
Experience of 3-5 years in testing
Understanding of workflow schemas (hardware and software components, data flows,..) and translate them into use textual case workflows
Experiences or willingness to develop and apply advanced testing skills, including software testing, DevOps practices, and automation tools development
Strong troubleshooting skills (ranging from software configurations to hardware-related issues)
Experience in non-functional testing (load/stress/stability/deployment)
Technical knowledge in some of these areas: Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Shell, …
Able to quickly do some context switching
Soft Skills :
IT-oriented (basic knowledge about Linux, IP, network, …)
