As Senior Accountant, you will ensure successful and accurate closings on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. Must be highly organized with attention to detail and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Job Description
Review and enter all vendor bills into AX system
Responsible for month-end financial reporting, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports
Review and process employee expense reports
Manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proceeding with the intercompany reconciliation & accounts justification
Bank reconciliations for both US and Mexico accounts
Process monthly and quarterly tax payments
Coordinating more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments
Generate and send invoices to customer
Filing bills with tax separately according to state to ensure organization when making state sales/use tax payments
Manage AR and assist will collection of past due to accounts
Maintain spreadsheet for management with AR updates
Process customer payments via an online credit card system
Record prepaid insurance, accrued expenses, and depreciation entries
Quarterly and year-end entries
Adding sales tax manually to sales orders in states where we have employees stationed (Nexus) based on specific state legislation regarding computer software/hardware. Keeping up to date with the tax law.
Validating sales/consignment orders with cost in a timely fashion.
Ensure that orders have the proper billing name/address, delivery name/address, proper dimensions, payment terms match the purchase order, determining if sales tax should be added/not added/not applicable, pricing matches the purchase order/signed quote, not a duplicate order.
Prepare and maintain accounting records in accordance with the organization's chart of accounts, analytical dimensions for budget, and related accounting principles and practices
Documenting procedures
Ad Hoc projects/tasks as requested by management
Profile
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or Finance
Minimum 5 years of relevant Accounting/Finance experience
Technical skills :
Advanced Proficiency of MS Office specifically Excel
Extended knowledge of GAAP
Microsoft Dynamics a PLUS
Soft skills :
Ability to respond to internal requests for support and assistance in a prompt and professional manner
Ability to work in a confidential manner due to access to information of a sensitive nature
