Software Engineer TypeScript

Scope

We are expanding our R&D team in the Crowthorne office in the UK. We are a software team developing our broadcast control system, Cerebrum. Used by customers across the world Cerebrum plays a key role in the production of major global sporting events and studio based programs. Cerebrum allows customers to create customized workflows which operators can access through thick or thin clients. Cerebrum is key in routing and tallying signals across SDI, IP and Hybrid topologies and controlling third-party devices. Our development processes are based on SAFe. We work in agile teams with continuous integration and automated tests.

Job Description

• Define, design, and develop software for production automation in studio based environments
• Understand user stories and convert them into technical tasks
• With a test-driven attitude develop automated tests
• Work with Support to troubleshoot customer issues
• Participate in the continuous improvement of the development process and tools

Profile

• Bachelor or Master's degree in computer science or equal

Technical Skills:

• 5 years plus experience in TypeScript / JavaScript
• Knowledge of designing and implementing RESTful interfaces
• Experience of YAML, OpenAPI and JSON Schemas
• Experience of working with Docker containers
• Experience in software development on Windows
• Experience in software design and architecture

The following experiences are not mandatory, and will be considered an asset:

• Experience with Agile development methods and tools (e.g. Jira, TeamCity, and BitBucket)
• Experience of broadcast environments and devices
• 2 years plus experience in C++ 11 (or newer versions)
