Scope

We are looking for a Test Automation engineer for our R&D team in Gilze, the Netherlands. The team consists of approximately 35 employees with all kinds of competencies, hardware-, software- and FPGA developers, and system test, and you will be part of it. The R&D team in Gilze is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Synapse and Neuron product lines. The Neuron platform is our new state-of-the-art high-speed processing board with 100Gb interfaces, 2 FPGAs, and a dual-core ARM running Linux. It is used as a basis for all our Neuron audio and video processing products like the convert, protect, compress, and bridge, but also for audio shuffler and the new MultiViewer.The development processes are based on SAFe, working in agile teams, using the latest technologies, and our build and test systems are fully automated.If you would like to participate in the development of embedded systems with new technologies in the field of audio & video equipment, please apply.

Job Description

  • The primary task is to create automated tests;
  • Participates in product creation process in an early stage with the focus on QA;
  • Delivers QA in all phases;
  • Uses test strategies, methods and tools;
  • Executes the product tests, reports the results and verifies bug fixes;
  • Contributes to the rollout and perfection of continuous integration and delivery;
  • Participate in Agile / SAFE multidisciplinary project teams together with software, hardware and FPGA developers;
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and participate in the continuous improvements of the development process and tools.

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Computer Science;
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with automated system testing;
  • Background in software development is a plus.

Technical skills:

  • Experience with embedded systems with software, hardware, and firmware;
  • Practical knowledge of Python, Pytest and C++, and Linux;
  • Experience with continuous delivery: setup, maintenance, and improvement of test frameworks and environments;
  • Experience with Agile development methods like Scrum;
  • Experience with QA technology and tools (Jira, Xray, GitLab CI/CD);
  • ISTQB certified; advanced level is a plus.
