Scope

The VP Solutions Architecture EMEA leads a team of Solution Architects (SOLAR) covering Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Solution Architects collaborate closely with the Sales & Operations resources across EMEA to build value propositions for EVS customers in the broadcast industry for their production of global live sporting, news and entertainment events. 

The VP Solutions Architecture EMEA role, reporting to the SVP EMEA, also represents the EMEA region within our Global SOLAR team, reporting to the SVP SOLAR to help define best practices globally and to train and implement them within the EMEA region.

He/she transfers industry, technical and product knowledge to customers via excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. This role will set the example of the customer engagement process in the region and should lead by example and work alongside the sales team to build long-lasting relationships.

Job Description

  • Manages (i.e. assigns and tracks) all SOLAR Activity within their region (e.g. Bid Responses, Product Demonstrations, maintenance of demo systems, etc.) ensuring opportunity deadlines are respected and are accountable for the coordination of the Solar team’s deliverables
  • Elaborate solutions which fit the customers’ requirements and minimize risk for delivery.
  • Demonstrates a solid ability to build trust as a technical advisor to multiple stakeholders within the CP and client's organization (from engineering to CTO)
  • Proactively cultivates customer and partner relationships (diamond approach)
  • Customer-facing and on-site either independently or in a group
  • Inquisitive performer of demos and workflow discussions
  • Regional point of contact for the sales team in all PreSales matters.
  • Oversees major opportunities, engaging the correct internal stakeholders, to ensure success.
  • Able to provide excellent feedback to internal stakeholders about market trends and requirements.

Profile

  • Bachelor of Computer Science (or Engineering) mandatory/ Master preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the broadcast industry as Pre-Sales/Solution Architect leading a team

Technical skills :

  • High familiarity with live production, asset management and networked media technologies; strong knowledge of EVS products and solutions is a strong plus
  • Good knowledge of the industry trends, customers and the competitive landscape is a strong plus

Soft skills :

  • Autonomous, driven and disciplined.
  • Attention to detail, providing critical observation and is not afraid to ask questions to confirm the gaps and assumptions are understood
  • Able to manage themself under pressure
  • Good communicator, at ease with clients, and a team player
  • Flexible and willing to travel

Languages :

  • Fluent in English
  • Knowledge of other languages is an asset
