17.2017 PRONEWS XT/XS 15.2

PACKAGE 15.2 - JULY 2017

Dear EVS Operator,

Welcome to the new issue of Operators’ ProNews – with information on all the latest products and updates from EVS. This month, alongside the usual range of updates to functions and usability, we introduce:

EVS News - July 2017 from EVS Broadcast Equipment on Vimeo.

The latest update to Multicam introduces a variety of new operational features, aimed at providing operators with greater flexibility - particularly when operating in Dual LSM Mode. For example, it's now possible for operators in Dual LSM Mode to set up asymmetric configurations of cameras - giving them flexible access to exactly the combinations of channels they need to work with. Operators can also dynamically switch from one to two LSM remotes while working.
On the engineering side, Multicam 15.2 enables 12+ channel support, including support for new codecs.
The native LoRes proxy is now also supported on the XT4K and XS4K servers with HD and 4K, and there is support for HDR across the range of current standards.

Epsio Paint is now 1080p and 4k capable and has a number of new features.
A key update is that it's now possible to remotely control Epsio Paint from the LSM remote. This gives you direct access to a number of controls, and feedback from Epsio Paint, directly from the remote interface.

With MultiReview 1.9, it's now possible to use MultiReview with XT4K. There are also enhancements to give more options when auto-naming clips and move distant MultiReview clips.

Version 1.1 of Xeebra now supports more cameras and Xeebra servers. Operators now have the ability to create preset layouts for their main and secondary screens, tag live actions and add a delay to the action in the player window.

The latest release of IPDirector contains a number of improvements, including a new tool for Logsheet management, enhancements to the display and functionality of IPBrowse, and improvements to the IP MOS Gateway providing more flexibility.
In AB Roll Playout, there is now a Breaking News function which makes it possible to steal a playout channel and load clips directly from Database Explorer.
It's now also possible to configure the display of Ingest Scheduler in portrait orientation on a vertical monitor, to enable more channels to be displayed and monitored.

It's now possible to use Xsquare/XTAccess to exchange files with 32 audio tracks - where previously only 16 could be processed. This is supported with AVC-INTRA and MPEG-Dash.
You can now add logo overlays within the EVS ecosystem, without having to use 3rd party hardware or software.
There are new supported formats in XTAccess and general improvements to HDR file management and the resolution of transcoding problems
