EVS to demonstrate the "TomorrowLive Black Box" in Beijing
EVS has been invited to take part in the Belgian princely Economic Trade Mission in China to share its vision of the future of live sports programming.
The event, organized by the Belgian trade institutions Flanders Investment and Trade (FIT), hub.brussels, the Wallonia Export-Investment Agency (AWEX) and the Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs, will take place from 16 November to 22 November 2019 at hotel Kempinski in Beijing.
The program includes a demonstration of the ‘Tomorrow Live Black Box’, developed by EVS in collaboration with other key figures of the Belgian technology, live media and sports landscape: Barco (the Belgian visualization solutions specialist), Showtex (an Antwerp company specializing in innovative installations for shows), the Royal Standard de Liège (a Belgian football club) and the technology federation Agoria.
‘Tomorrow Live Black Box’ is an immersive demo experience that offers a truly unique perspective of the vision of EVS and its partners on the future of live sports viewing. It explores what the multimedia room of the future might look like and how audiences will become an integral part of the live show, thanks to an enriched broadcast that is based on three key elements: augmented reality, personalization and interaction.
Spectators of the future will, for instance, be able to create different atmospheres in their room, have access to various types of contextual information including biometric measurements like heart rate or player speed, and interact with other members of the audience. Holographic and transparent display replays and dynamic audio are also featured for an in-depth multi-sensory experience.
Nicolas Bourdon, EVS’ SVP Marketing said: “EVS’ participation in the princely mission in China is a unique opportunity to strengthen our relationship with both our partners at home and in China. We are excited to present our TomorrowLive Black Box and we look forward to coming back with fresh insights and varied perspectives on the way we will consume content in the future.”
The princely mission, led by HRH Princess Astrid, is the largest mission ever in Belgian history, with an impressive delegation of 632 participants. The mission focuses on showcasing Belgian know-how in a large variety of sectors, including clean technology, healthcare and life-sciences, food products, lifestyle and sports.
