EVS at Broadcast Asia 2019 in Singapore

EVS' live production innovations on show at Broadcast Asia

Liège, Belgium, June 14, 2019

EVS, the leading provider of live production solutions, will showcase its extensive line-up of industry-leading technology at BroadcastAsia from 18-20 June. Visitors to EVS’ stand (4S4-08) will discover how a new software-defined ingest server enables flexible studio operations, the benefits of virtualization, how EVS is applying machine learning for video assistance, and how content creators are using EVS servers to deliver multi-format productions.

In response to the growing demand for higher-resolution content, the XT-VIA and XS-VIA servers deliver more capacity and greater flexibility to produce in multiple formats, including full HD 1080p, UHD-4K and HDR. Both servers enable the upscaling of 1080p content to 4K for playout.

Laying the foundation for future productions, EVS’ live production servers have successfully passed the Joint Task Force on Networked Media’s JT-NM SMPTE ST 2110 tests, validating EVS’ commitment to ensure seamless IP interoperability, consistent with the AIMS Alliance roadmap.

The Ingest-to-Post solution leverages EVS' state-of-the-art software-defined server technology and micro-services architecture – and reduces the time between the ingest of live multi-camera feeds to post-production in studio entertainment environments. XS-NEO, EVS’ new software-defined server, offers concurrent support of multiple formats, codecs and framerates (including 24p). IPD-VIA Ingest app, a new ingest control application, offers easy scheduling of camera feeds through an intuitive HTML 5 web interface.

EVS’ new PMZ hypervisor appliance enables the virtualization of backend infrastructure, so facilities’ providers can make the best use of valuable space within mobile production or fly pack units. Optimized for highly demanding live environments, its HCI architecture with software-defined storage allows customers to easily scale up for more processing power and change workflows from one day to the next.

EVS will also showcase Xeebra and demonstrate how machine learning is applied to EVS’ VAR technology. The technology automatically calibrates the field of play so operators can swiftly insert a 3D offside line with multiple viewing angles.

Offering a brand new approach to live production with its fully customizable design, Dyvi is EVS’ software-defined switcher. With an easy configuration it suits any production or creative need, driving a busy broadcast center environment from a single control room serving one or multiple studios.

The unified production system, X-One gives a single operator all the strength of EVS’ live production experience through a simple touch UI. Perfect for the production of small to medium live events, the EVS system allows for up to six camera feeds, which operators can use to switch more than 12+ sources, for creating replays, control audio, playback elements, cut together a live feed and even add graphics and transitions to live programming.

The BroadcastAsia show, part of the ConnectTechAsia exhibitions, takes place at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre between 18-20 June 2019. For more information on the products being shown on EVS’ stand (4S4-08), visit EVS.com/broadcast-asia-2019.
