LiberoVision meets its goal with EVS
The ground-breaking DiscoverEye computer technology from LiberoVision generates new viewpoints from as little as two cameras in five to ten minutes in plenty of time for the highlights package using a compact 19 inch box that easily fits into an OB van.
Ingest and playout is handled by just one input and one output of an EVS XT or XT server in PAL, NTSC, or HD picture formats, plus an RS-422 connection for remote control.
Unlike competing systems, the system produces photorealistic images and requires no additional cameras or stadium infrastructure.
With seamless transitions between original and computer-generated images, the virtual camera flies anywhere around the stadium, including otherwise impossible birds-eye views.
As well as resolving disputed off-side calls or analysing tactics, DiscoverEye can place unobtrusive and perspectively-correct virtual advertising anywhere in the scene, giving broadcasters a novel additional revenue stream.
EVS is showing selected clips at its booth at IBC (8.290).
