Course Objectives

This course provides the operator with a complete operational description of Dyvi live production tools. All the tools will be covered from basic use to advanced programming. The default panel functions assignment will be used as a starting point to move over to their personalization.
Exercises based on real life needs will come with each section to prepare the trainee to be immediately operational.

Target Group
Switcher operators, technical directors, broadcast engineers.

Having a knowledge of switching/mixing basics such as layering, transitions, DVE, etc.

  • Presentation and overview of the system architecture (Hardware & Software). Description of the different components and their role:

  • Detailed description of the Dyvi operations and layering/effect creation
    • Scenes and stages
    • PP and DSK’s, Aux buses, clean feeds
    • Luma and Chroma keyers
    • Filters (crop, color, blur…)
    • 2D and 3D DVE
    • Transitions, replay wipes
    • Ram Recorder, image file transfer from/to Ram Recorder
  • Memories
    • Macros recording, recall, edition and conditional macros
    • Basic and advanced timelines
    • Productions
  • Setup overview
    • Technical setups – “Supervisor” maintenance application
    • Input/outputs
    • Panel and source options
    • Multiviewer assignment
