Advanced, seamless audio routing across multiple locations

The EVS Cerebrum orchestration platform integrates seamlessly with DirectOut’s advanced audio conversion products, including MONTONE.42 (Ravenna-to-MADI converter supporting AES67 and ST-2110) and the RAV.IO AES67/ST-2110 module from the PRODIGY series.

In combination with DirectOut’s PRODIGY converter series, Cerebrum can utilize either Ember+ or the native JSON API to manage both the PRODIGY host devices (including Matrix, Gain control for microphone amplifiers, and more) as well as the stream configuration of RAV.IO on the network side.

DirectOut’s modules are also available as OEM solution, for instance in STAGETEC’s renowned NEXUS audio matrix, enabling the realization of network-based, large-scale broadcast installations.

A prime example is the setup at Canal+, where STAGETEC installed multiple devices handling +16k audio channels and about 2000 audio streams. Cerebrum enables smooth integration between STAGETEC’s NEXUS matrix and DirectOut’s AES67 module as network audio interface. Thanks to EVS’s orchestration software, Canal+ operators can route entire signal paths with a single command, connecting streams and setting up routings in the matrix in the background automatically. The streamlined system connects multiple facilities and locations, significantly enhancing operational effectiveness. This partnership provides robust, flexible, and easily configurable audio routing, improving efficiency across high-demand, multi-location production environments.
