At EVS we give utmost importance to your data’s privacy. Please refer to our Privacy Statement which explains how EVS collects, processes, uses, stores and transfers your personal data as well as your rights over any personal data we hold about you in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016.

What are cookies?

We collect certain information when you visit the Site by automated means, using cookies or other similar tools.  This information may include without limitation, the date and hour of your visit, the type of browser you use, your IP address, your geographic location, the pages visited, as well as data related to the files you [down/up]load from/on the Site.  The information we collect via cookies and other similar tools is used in a non-identifiable way without any reference to your personal data.

Cookies are namely small data files which are saved on your computer or device for record-keeping purposes. They allow a website to recognize your device. Cookies can have several purposes: to ensure that the website takes into account the user’s preferences by for example remembering language preferences, passwords and log-in details, to collect statistical data, to adapt the content, etc.

Which different types of cookies do we use?

We use both first- and third-party cookies and session and persistent cookies:

  • First-party cookies are those set directly by EVS on our Site.
  • Third-party cookies are set by another domain than the Site being visited (e.g. Google Analytics cookies, LinkedIn cookies, etc.).
  • Session cookies are erased when a user closes its browser. They simplify and link a user’s actions during the browsing session. Session cookies start when you open the browser and finish when you close it; they are thus temporary.
  • Persistent cookies remain on a user’s device for a certain period (e.g. 1 day, 1 month, 2 years…). They remain present on your device for the lifetime of the cookie. They are activated every time you visit our website.

EVS uses the following cookies on his Site:

  • Functional cookies are essential to allow you to visit the Site, use all of its functions and guarantee a safe environment. Such cookies allow us to remember your choices, preferences and favorite setting in order to improve your general browsing experience. These cookies cannot track your browsing activity on other websites and they do not gather any information about you that could be used for advertising or remembering where you’ve been on the Internet outside our Site.
  • Analytical and tracking cookies are mainly third-party cookies from company such as Google Analytics used to track site statistics and user interaction with the Site. For instance, these types of cookies will give us information on how users arrive on our Site, or how our media campaigns work. This information is used to evaluate and improve the content of our Site and our campaigns and ultimately to improve user experience.
  • Advertising and Targeting cookies are specifically designed to gather information from you on your device to display advertisements to you based on relevant topics that interest you. Advertisers will place these cookies on a website with the website operator’s permission. The information the cookies gather on you can be shared with other advertisers to measure the performance of their advertisements. Additionally, another purpose of targeting and advertising cookies is to build user profiles from visitors to the website to gather statistics on the performance of the advertisements that can carry across many websites. These cookies are almost always third party, persistent cookies. This means that the cookies can follow the user as they visit other websites. Sometimes, the site with the advertising cookies do not display the advertisements but it can target users with advertisements elsewhere even after they’ve left the site.

Digital advertising cookies and tags / pixels pages contain the LinkedIn Insights Tag, enabling the collection of data regarding members’ visits to, including the URL, referrer, IP address, device and browser characteristics (User Agent), and timestamp.

LinkedIn does not share the personal data with EVS, it only provides reports and alerts (which do not identify you) about the website audience and ad performance. LinkedIn also uses data that does not identify you to improve ad relevance and reach members across devices. LinkedIn members can control the use of their personal data for advertising purposes through their account settings.
