Lisa Menzies

Having worked as an EVS operator in sports television for about 20 years, Lisa has enjoyed many memorable moments throughout her career. But perhaps one of the experiences she’ll remember the most was building replays from her hotel room for the 55th edition of the Super Bowl, after testing positive for Covid-19. Watch our Q&A to learn more about Lisa and to find out how EVS and CBS made sure her talents could still be used for the big game, even while in quarantine.

“Building replays for the Super Bowl from my hotel room, while sick with Covid seemed like a daunting task at first. Fortunately, the setup went really well and game day was even better. I had previously watched a webinar by EVS to understand the basic functions of the LSM-VIA, but the Super Bowl was actually the first time I laid my hands on it! Thankfully, it was very easy to operate, the controls are basically in the same place so it’s a muscle memory situation for your day-to-day operations. And if you want to up your game, you can customize the new keys and create shortcuts for your most-used functions.”
