Media Network Specialist

Scope

EVS is looking for a Media Network Specialist to help our customers design and deploy core IP networking topologies for the broadcast and media facility domain. As a leader in live production technology EVS continues to introduce innovative media infrastructure solutions to the market. Strong technical expertise and close customer collaboration are key to our growth. 

In this role you will work closely with customers, system integrators and internal teams to design, build and integrate real-time media networking solutions based on SMPTE ST 2110. You will play a key role in deploying and supporting EVS MediaInfra Strada solutions worldwide.

Job Description

• Design IP networking solutions capable of transporting uncompressed live media over high-bandwidth managed networks, including the deployment of the following network services: multicast & unicast L3 routing, PTP & NTP, LLDP, NMOS, DHCP, DNS and SMPTE ST 2110.
• Deploy and integrate EVS MediaInfra Strada solutions worldwide including Cerebrum Neuron IP gateways and network switches.
• Integrate third-party broadcast and networking equipment into complete end-to-end IP routing solutions.
• Act as a subject matter expert for media networking by supporting customers, sales teams and internal stakeholders including leading technical workshops.
• Support delivery and support teams with network design validation commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with technology partners such as Arista and Cisco to test, validate and integrate new technologies.
• Explore and implement new technologies that improve performance, simplify operations and enhance security.
• Create and maintain accurate technical documentation for deployed systems.
• Contribute to early go-to-market activities for new media routing and infrastructure solutions.
• Frequent international travel to support customer projects. 

Profile

Required Experience and Skills 

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in professional broadcast or media production environments. 
• Expertise in SMPTE ST 2110 based media networks including PTP, IP multicast and NMOS. 
• Solid networking knowledge with hands-on experience using Arista and/or Cisco platforms. 
• Experience in designing and deploying high-availability live production networks. 
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure in live environments. 
• The following technical experiences are not mandatory and will be considered an asset: 
• Experience with broadcast IP routing systems and integration with adjacent IT networks. 
• Knowledge of spine-leaf architectures for media networks. 
• Experience with SDN solutions such as Arista MCS or Cisco NDFC. 
• Familiarity with JT-NM TR-1001-1 and NMOS IS-04 IS-05 workflows. 
• Relevant networking certifications such as Cisco CCNA Arista ACE or equivalent experience.
