Scope

As a UI/UX Lead, you will lead the UX/UI team in charge of defining all user interactions across EVS products, services, and the global ecosystem. You are part of a global UX/UI group that collaborates closely with multiple departments, contributing to a design-driven culture within the company.In addition to your leadership responsibilities, you will actively contribute as a senior UI/UX Designer, working hands-on on projects to support your team in their daily tasks. You will combine people management with operational design work, ensuring strong alignment between strategy, execution, and team performance.The UX/UI team delivers a wide range of services, including user research and workshops, interaction design, prototyping, mockups, and more. The team also ensures visual, functional, and interaction consistency across all EVS products.As the UI/UX Lead, you are accountable for coaching the team, growing competencies, allocating resources efficiently, and ensuring high-quality delivery.

Job Description

As a UI/UX Lead, you will manage a team of UX/UI Designers and UX Architects while remaining actively involved in design activities.

People & Team Management

  • Coach and mentor team members in both business and soft skills.
  • Support team members in reaching high autonomy levels.
  • Ensure team adherence to company processes and best practices.
  • Drive competency development and training for team members.
  • Manage budget planning, equipment needs, and infrastructure ordering.
  • Lead recruitment activities for the UX/UI team.
  • Ensure no single team member is solely responsible for any critical task.
  • Define yearly objectives in collaboration with stakeholders and assess achievements.

Team(s) Coordination

  •  Actively participate in transversal initiatives that bring improvements to teams, the department, and EVS.
  • Foster the UX Design Process workstream to enhance UX practices.
  • Foster the UX Design Capacity workstream to expand UX reach via UX satellites.
  • Drive the UX Design System workstream to maintain consistent guidelines and components.
  • Support continuous improvement within the UX team by defining meaningful processes and improvements.

Technical Expertise & Hands-On Design Work

  • Actively contribute as a UI/UX Designer, working alongside your team on interaction design, prototyping, mockups, and discovery activities.
  • Provide guidance on defining future-proof strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Strengthen the team's expertise in the Double Diamond methodology.
  • Ensure proper use and implementation of design guidelines.
  • Stay current with industry tools, trends, and technologies.
  • Offer expert-level design insights, propose new ideas, and support team members' daily design challenges.

Profile

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree with at least three years of experience in UX/UI or service design.
  • Experience in the video and/or broadcast/media industry is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Excellent knowledge of UX/UI design principles and ability to bring forward new ideas.
  • Proficiency with standard UX/UI tools such as Sketch, Figma, etc.
  • A UX/UI design certification is an asset.

Soft Skills

  • Strong collaboration mindset.
  • Ability to understand and contribute across an entire product line.

Languages

  • Fluent in English.
  • Working knowledge of another language is an asset.
