Scope

The SVP Solutions Architecture will lead and drive the technical sales strategy, ensuring alignment with company goals and market demands. This role encompasses leadership, strategic planning, technical sales support, customer engagement, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance EVS's market presence and sales performance.

Job Description

Leadership and Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales engineering team worldwide.
  • Establish and implement best practices, frameworks, and methodologies for the sales engineer-ing function interacting with the rest of the organization.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.

Strategic Planning

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive technical sales strategy that aligns with overall company goals.
  • Identify market trends, customer needs evolution, and competitive landscape to inform strategic direction and influence portfolio priorities.
  • Work with executive leadership to set strategic goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales engineering team including bid management.

Technical Sales Support

  • Oversee the development of technical proposals, presentations, and demonstrations (including roadshow and tradeshows)  to effectively communicate the value of the company’s solutions to customers in collaboration with product marketing and product management teams.
  • Ensure the sales engineering team provides expert technical support during the sales process, in-cluding pre-sales, proof of concepts, and post-sales support.
  • Collaborate with project team ensuring qualitative scope of work exercise on new deals/projects.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify opportunities and provide technical exper-tise to close deals.

Customer Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Act as a technical advisor to clients, understanding their business challenges and requirements, and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Ensure customer feedback is incorporated into product development and improvement process-es (part of global solution units).
  • Ensures the team of Sales engineers play a major role in local and international tradeshows driving demonstrations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with product management, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure alignment of technical solutions with customer needs and market demands.
  • Collaborate with marketing to create technical content, such as whitepapers, case studies, and webinars, to support lead generation and sales efforts.
  • Provide insights and feedback to product teams to guide future product development.
  • Work closely with the operations team advising on the project management.

Profile

Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales engineering, technical sales, or related fields, with a proven track record of leadership and success.
  • Extensive experience in the industry relevant to the company’s products and services.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical con-cepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a keen understanding of market trends and cus-tomer needs.
  • Strong customer orientation, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stake-holders.
  • Proficiency in relevant technical and sales tools, such as CRM software, technical design tools, and analytics platforms.
