Scope

Our mission as a Corporate Digital Transformation Team is to sustain EVS business activities and enable growth by monitoring business processes, managing corporate applications, structuring corporate data and leading key strategic transformation projects.  

As an application owner for all Atlassian solutions – Jira Software, Confluence, Jira Service Management ... - you play an essential role in driving the continuous improvement and management of the most critical applications used by our R&D department to support the Agile development of EVS products.  You will also oversee the evolution of our internal ticketing service – Jira Service Management – used daily by all 700 EVS team members.    

Additionally, to the Atlassian solutions, you will also be application owner for our Azure DevOps application. You will report to the Corporate applications coordinator and work in close collaboration with the other applications owners and the Enterprise architect to ensure coherence of the corporate application landscape usage. 

Job Description

  • Application Strategy:   
    • Understand EVS’ business ambitions, the needs of your main stakeholders and identify how the Atlassian & Azure DevOps applications can further support and enhance business processes. 
    • Understand R&D way of working and processes (SAFe Framework) to be able to support them in implementing changes into JIRA and Confluence
    • Prioritize improvements and implementation of new applications, considering budget constraints and business priorities.  
  • Governance and Compliance:
    • Establish governance policies and best practices for the use of Atlassian applications and Azure DevOps, taking into consideration data security and integrity, access controls, storage management, cost management and compliance with regulatory requirements.  
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, including business leaders, managers, end-users, IT teams, and end-users, to gather their needs and requirements, prioritize them, and ensure alignment with business goals. 
  • Integration and Interoperability:
    • Work in close collaboration with the Enterprise architect, the Infra, the Network and the Security teams to ensure seamless integration and interoperability with other systems or platforms used at EVS.  
  • User Experience:
    • Understand team members’ experience and usage of corporate applications for which you are the owner. This includes gathering team members/end-users feedback to identify potential productivity enhancements. 
  • Training and Support:
    • Provide training and workshops and support to team members/end-users to promote adoption and usage of the applications.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization:  
    • Monitoring the performance and usage of the applications, analyzing metrics and user feedback to identify areas for improvement or optimization.  
    • Monitor the adoption and respect of the governance and business rules defined.  
    • Monitor the budget related to these applications (licenses and storage) to keep it under control and identify, if required, mitigation measures to reduce it.  
  • Operational management of the applications:  
    • Anticipate Atlassian solutions upgrades and maintenance and coordinate them in collaboration with the Infra team 
    • Define business rules for access rights management, licenses attribution and security matters.  Align with the service desk team and ensure that the business rules are respected.  
    • Follow-up the evolution of the Atlassian solutions, considering context and needs at EVS to proactively propose solutions to the business.  
    • Support requests, issues, or incidents related to the applications you manage:  
      • Tier 1 : provide the necessary information to the service desk team to ensure that they can tackle all Tier 1 requests and incidents.
      • Tier 2 : React promptly, investigate, analyze, resolve and follow-up issues with end users.  
      • Tier 3 : escalate complex requests to the defined partner and follow-up on the resolution of the request.  
    • Involve external partners and experts when necessary.  Build strong relationships with them to ensure efficiency and consistency.   
    • Create and maintain appropriate documentation for each application in appropriate systems and ensure its availability for adequate audiences.  
    • Define and regularly update and test the ‘business continuity plan’ for corporate applications for which you are the owner. 

 

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or related Technology/Business-Oriented degree 
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst

Technical skills  

  • Extended knowledge of Jira Software, Confluence, Jira Service Management, Azure.DevOps is fundamental for this role.  
  • Some knowledge or experience of the following topics is a plus (but not mandatory):  
    • Conception of data models / database schema.  
    • UML diagrams and BPMN annotations. 
    • Micro service architecture and API. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 is an asset. 
  • Knowledge of agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe) is an asset 
  • Knowledge or experience of the following topics is a plus:  
    • HTLL/CSS/JS, ECMAScript 6, jQuery, java/javascript (groovy) 
    • Azure 
    • Entra 
    • Power Automate 
    • Power Apps 
    • Power BI 

Languages

Excellent oral and written communication skills both in French and English
