Our mission as a Corporate Digital Transformation team is to support EVS activities by improving business processes, managing corporate applications, structuring, and governing corporate data.

The modernization of our legacy data architecture into an Azure data platform, the definition of a new data governance and the reinforcement of the data team highlight our willingness to unlock the power of data and to become a fully data-driven company.

The Data Analyst’s role is to understand business requirements, collect and analyze data, and provide data products to stakeholders. He/she is responsible for supporting the utilization of Power BI and improving data quality and will work closely with various teams to ensure that data is accurate, accessible, and strategically used to enhance business performance.

Job Description

The data analyst will be part of the data team and will work under the guidance of the Data & BI Coordinator. He/She will play a key role in understanding business data usages, gathering requirements, and providing reliable datasets to data consumers.

His/her role will be to

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders (Data owners, reports owners, data stewards) to understand business needs and collect data requirements.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to build prototypes of data products.
  • Implement data pipelines respecting development standards in Azure Synapse.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Train and assist users in utilizing Power BI effectively.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across various systems.
  • Ensure that all relevant technical and functional documentation is up to date.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve any issues related to data pipelines.

Profile

  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in data engineering in Microsoft Azure environment.
    • Certification PL-300: Power BI Data Analyst Associate is a plus.
  • Soft skills:
    • Strong customers focus with the ability to manage expectations appropriately, constructively challenge requests and build a long-term relationship with key stakeholders. 
    • Team player, autonomous and well-organized.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, minimum level : C1. French is a plus.  
    • Positive, pragmatic, and problem-solving mindset
    • Good analytical skills

    • Will to learn and continuously evolve
  • Technical skills 
    • Must have  
      • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
      • Power BI
      • First experience with Azure Synapse and its components.
      • Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and lake house.
      • Strong knowledge of SQL and other data querying languages.
    • Nice to have
      • Microsoft D365 (Customer Engagement and Finance & Operations) knowledge is a significant asset.
      • Experience in working with 0365, Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps and UML diagrams/BPMN annotations will ease the onboarding.
