The overall score of 67 out of 100 places the company in the top 15% of the 100,000+ companies evaluated by EcoVadis. This rating recognizes the company's reinforced commitment to sustainability and ranks EVS at the forefront of companies implementing ESG policies.
This year's achievement is particularly commendable considering EcoVadis has raised the bar by awarding medals only to companies within the top 35% across all rated customers, compared to the previous top 50%.
EVS’ Deputy CPO, Dounia Czorniak, who is also leading EVS’ ESG team, said: “We’re proud of this outcome which highlights the effectiveness of our ESG strategy and the progress we’re making. Among our recent accomplishments, we have launched initiatives in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, including the formation of a dedicated team to address various topics ranging from gender diversity to neurodivergence. On a more general level, we’ve been working on our data collection methodology to ensure we can accurately monitor our future actions, and we’ve conducted a gap analysis to determine priorities for short- and medium-term action plans for each ESG topic.”
The EcoVadis assessment evaluates companies across four key themes – Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement – using a comprehensive scorecard ranging from 0 to 100. These themes encompass 21 critical issues aligned with international sustainability standards, including the Global Compact Principles, International Labour Organization conventions, Global Reporting Initiative standards, ISO 26000, and CERES principles. EcoVadis Medals and Badges signify a company's strong management system that addresses sustainability criteria, as outlined in the EcoVadis methodology. To be eligible for a medal, a company must achieve a minimum score of 30 in each of the four themes.
