Over the years, the company has introduced many initiatives aimed at fostering healthier lifestyles and routines. "We are very grateful for this recognition” said Pierre Matelart. “We're always looking for new ways to create an engaging and healthy working environment for all our team members, and this award reflects the dedication that many individuals at EVS are putting into those efforts."
One of the most impactful initiatives this year was the EVS Games 2024, a global virtual challenge focused on improving physical and mental well-being. In collaboration with teroGo, this initiative invited EVS team members from all over the world to engage in a variety of activities, from sports to mindfulness practices, ensuring widespread participation and inclusivity.
With more than 400 team members taking part, the EVS Games have not only inspired healthier habits but also strengthened connections and a sense of belonging among the global team. Many participants have reported integrating these positive changes into their daily routines even after the challenge ended:
Julien Noir, Pricing Manager, said: “When I joined EVS, I was pleasantly surprised by its commitment to the inclusion and well-being of its team members. But more than words, through this initiative, EVS illustrated it. The recent challenge was not merely about competition or prize, it presented a valuable opportunity for me to focus on my personal well-being. Through this initiative, I was inspired to engage in more regular activities – be it sports, cultural pursuits, or just spending valuable time with the family. It has significantly enhanced my overall balance and has strengthened my sense of belonging to the team. Even though the challenge has ended, I have embraced this mindset and continue to follow the same positive routine!"
Jan-Willem De Groot, Senior Firmware Architect, said: “This year I joined the EVS Games, accessible for all employees. It was really nice to compete with teams and the prize of going to the Olympics was a real motivator. Seeing other colleagues around the world doing sports as well as hobbies is really nice. For me, having these benefits with sport challenges and mental well-being activities is one of the reasons I like working at EVS.”
Now in its second year, the Corporate Star Awards have already become a highlight at the IBC show, honoring teams and individuals who are making remarkable progress in ESG initiatives and sustainable product innovation. These awards, free from any specific framework, encourage participation from companies at every stage of their ESG journey.
