Cybersecurity more than ever a top priority for EVS following SolarWinds Security breach

Dear customers and partners,

Earlier this month, SolarWinds announced it had been made “aware of a cyberattack that inserted a vulnerability within its Orion monitoring products which, if present and activated, could potentially allow an attacker to compromise the server on which the Orion products run.”

This highly significant cyberattack has already impacted several U.S. government agencies and numerous firms, triggering emergency U.S. national security meetings and widespread concern.

As the security threat continues to unfold, and firms pursue their investigations, EVS would like to take the opportunity to remind our community that cybersecurity remains a top priority at EVS for software delivery as well as for services delivery (support).

EVS is not a user of the SolarWinds Orion product suite, nevertheless, our IT Security experts are following these threats very closely and are on high alert in terms of supply chain security. They will continue to examine our systems and monitor for any potential attacker activity with the highest level of attention.

Should we come to find any anomalous behavior on our network, we will inform you without delay and will take the appropriate measures to ensure our community’s environment remains secure.

If you have any questions or believe you may have had an incident, our Information Security team remains at your disposal at infosec@evs.com

Best regards,

The EVS Information Security Team
