Scope

The Sales Manager will manage the day-to-day sales operations, execute the strategy for growth in the local market, and operate the local strategy. This role involves contacting assigned customer accounts and prospects, dealing with a special market with complex solutions that require significant client relationship skills. The role also involves managing the UK sales team and the coordination of all business related requirements, including the need to handle specific major customers. 

Job Description

  • Drive Sales: Manage existing customer base in the territory and identify new accounts to grow sales revenue outside the existing pipeline. Discover new markets such as corporate, government, entertainment 
  • Customer Engagement: Initiate and develop relationships with key personnel at selected targets, understanding their needs and aligning product benefits to address their challenges. 
  • Sales Process Support: Communicate essential  solution and workflow knowledge to customers to facilitate sales, initiate technical product demonstrations and workflow discussions. 
  • Consultative Approach: Take a consultant-style approach to customers to help design and build more efficient and reliable workflows, creating strong relationships. 
  • Business Development: Develop comprehensive knowledge of prospects, including personnel and responsibilities, budgeting, internal politics, products and services, competition, and market trends. 
  • Trade Shows and Conventions: Attend trade shows, conventions, and workshops within the territory and international fairs to represent the company and generate leads. 
  • Resource Management: Appropriately use company resources required to support a sale with regard to operating expenses. 
  • Reporting: Create regular meeting reports and sales forecast updates with detailed client information. 
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that customers are highly satisfied with the solutions provided. 
  • Collaboration: Complete studies and quotations, making technical and sales presentations in collaboration with the local and HQ teams. 
  • Sales Targets: Ensure that sales figures meet the stated objectives defined by the companies CCO and SVP Sales EMEA 
  • Operations: Ensure a close relationship with the Operations team members on site and ensure uptodate CRM data at any given time 
  • Office Presence: conduct regular staff meetings in the local office or any choosen location (i.e. Co-Working offices). Ensure regular visits to our HQ in Belgium to represent the Uk business requirements. 

Profile

  • Proven experience in sales management, preferably within the TV Broadcasting/Production market. 
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to understand customer needs. 
  • Strong technical knowledge of Broadcast Media Productions (i.e. Sport, OB, News, Entertainment,...) 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. 
  • Strategic planning and goal-setting abilities. 
  • Technical knowledge of product demonstrations and workflow discussions. 
  • Cultural Fit with British business culture
